Promise Land and Sandy B Drop a Modern Classic

There’s always a buzz ahead of a hot new Subliminal Records release, but this week’s track from Italian label newcomers Promise Land has proved to be a little bit special before it’s even dropped.

‘Never Be Lonely’ features some stunning vocals courtesy of the legendary Sandy B and has all the ingredients of a modern house music classic. Our Twitter and Facebook feeds have full of excited feedback on the original and the excellent Master Mood remix.

“This is a huge reward for us,” beam the duo. “We just recall when we were 16 years old, we used to buy all the tracks out on Subliminal… and now we see one of our own single on the label. It’s just a WOW thing!”

Total Floorkiller

With a growing catalogue of productions and remixes to their name they have made some fans in high places, including our own Erick Morillo.

“When Erick asked us to make a track for him, we went straight into the studio and worked with all our passion,” they tell us.

“This track just flowed really quick. We started from the central melody written for piano, we built up the whole atmosphere smooth and then dropped a big kick, conceived as a total floorkiller!

“Then we asked our manager to find a voice for this record and he proposed Sandy B. We instantly thought she was a great name and a great voice so we immediately accepted.”

The boys knew they were onto something special with the vibe they had already laid down, but were still unsure what the final tune would be like, until they head the vocal.

“When we laid down Sandy’s vocal parts we just looked each other and thought: it’s perfect! The mood was exactly what we wanted, we were so pleased. We can only say our special thanks to Sandy, Tony and Hosh.”

Ultimate Feedback

Sure enough, when they started playing the track to people, the feedback confirmed that they really were onto something.

“Hey, when you receive an email from Erick Morillo that says ‘I love this track guys’ and he tells you he thinks your song is perfectly suited for Subliminal… com’n, what better feedback can there be for a DJ producer?!”

It looks like ‘Never Be Lonely’ could well be the track to take Promise Land into the big league. And they have plenty ready to follow too.

“We have a new single coming with our Dutch friend Chuckie, a collaboration with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike and some new tracks of our own in the pipeline, plus several remix requests, which is great. This is a very positive period for our studio!”

You can feel their excitement at all that is happening right now, which a feeling that translates into the music they are making right now.

“Thank so much to all our fans for giving us such great love, a deep thank to Mr. Erick Morillo and Subliminal records for believin’ in us too.”
